These terms cover the Sendski iPhone app, the web app at app.sendski.com and this website (together, "Sendski"). By using Sendski you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Sendski.

Free, with ads

Sendski is free to use. Ads pay for it. You won't see ads on the map or while you're tracking a ski day. Before you save a new resort map for offline use, the iPhone app may play a short video ad; it never plays while a day is recording, and if no ad loads, the map downloads anyway.

Maps can be wrong

Resort maps in Sendski come from OpenStreetMap contributors and the Sendski community. They are not checked against official trail maps. Runs, lifts, names, difficulty ratings, pitch and closures may be missing, out of date or wrong. Anyone can suggest a fix with Suggest a map change in the app.

Sendski is not a navigation or safety tool. Always follow resort signage, closures and ski patrol, and use the resort's official trail map. GPS positions, speeds and other stats are estimates.

Skiing is dangerous

Skiing and snowboarding can cause serious injury or death. Steep terrain, avalanches, obstacles, weather and other people are risks that no app can remove. You ski at your own risk. Ski within your ability, stay in open terrain, and decide for yourself whether a run is safe for you that day.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you're responsible for what happens on your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Profile, then Settings, then Delete account. That removes your profile, ski days, GPS records, reviews, photos, friends and crews.

What you post

Reviews, photos, map suggestions and anything else you add stay yours. You let us store and show them in Sendski so the app works and other skiers can see them. Only post things you have the right to share. Don't post anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, or anything that shows other people without their permission.

We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these terms or that we believe puts people at risk, with or without notice.

Crew locations

When you join a crew, the people in it can see where you are on the map while your ski day is running. Location sharing stops when your day ends. Only join crews with people you trust.

No warranty

Sendski is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that it will be accurate, complete, available or free of errors, or that maps, stats or locations will be correct.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any injury, loss or damage that comes from using Sendski, relying on its maps or data, or skiing. Where the law doesn't allow us to exclude liability, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for Sendski, which is nothing. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we make a significant change, we'll say so in the app or on this page. Using Sendski after a change means you accept the new terms.
